ഗജ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ്; കേരളത്തില്‍ അതിശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യത, ഓറഞ്ച് അലെര്‍ട്ട്

തമിഴ്‌നാടിനെ ഭീതിയിലാഴ്ത്തി ആഞ്ഞടിക്കുന്ന ഗജ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ കേരളത്തിലും ജാഗ്രതാ നിര്‍ദേശം. കേരളത്തില്‍ എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലും മഴ ലഭിക്കാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുള്ളതായി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പിന്റെ അറിയിപ്പ് പ്രകാരമാണ് കേരളത്തില്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം, എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലകളില്‍ ശക്തവും, അതി ശക്തവുമായ മഴയും, കൊല്ലം, പത്തനംതിട്ട, ആലപ്പുഴ, തൃശൂര്‍, പാലക്കാട്‌, മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകളില്‍ ശക്തമായ മഴയും ഇന്ന് ലഭിച്ചേക്കും. കോട്ടയം, എറണാകുളം, ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലകളില്‍ മഴ സംബന്ധിയായി കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് ഇന്ന് (16-11-2018) ഓറഞ്ച് അലേര്‍ട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൊല്ലം, പത്തനംതിട്ട, ആലപ്പുഴ, തൃശൂര്‍, പാലക്കാട്‌, മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകളില്‍ ഇന്ന് മഞ്ഞ അലെര്‍ട്ടും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള അറിയിപ്പ്

1. ഉരുൾപൊട്ടൽ സാധ്യത ഉള്ളതിനാല് രാത്രി സമയത്ത് (7 pm to 7 am) മലയോര മേഘലയിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്ര ഒഴിവാക്കുക

2. മലയോര മേഘലയിലെ റോഡുകള്ക്ക് കുറുകെ ഉള്ള ചെറിയ ചാലുകളിലൂടെ മലവെള്ള പാച്ചിലും ഉരുള്പൊട്ടലും ഉണ്ടാകുവാന് സാധ്യതയുണ്ട് എന്നതിനാല് ഇത്തരം ചാലുകളുടെ അരികില് വാഹനങ്ങള് നിർത്തരുത് .

3. മലയോര മേഘലയിലും ബീച്ചുകളിലും വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരത്തിന് പോകാതിരിക്കുക.

4. കൃത്യമായ അറിയിപ്പുകൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനായി മുഖ്യ മന്ത്രിയുടെയും സംസ്ഥാന ദുരന്ത നിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റിയുടെയും ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പേജുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക 
സമൂഹ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ തെറ്റായ വിവരങ്ങൾ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കരുത്.

5. ഒരു കാരണവശാലും നദി മുറിച്ചു കടക്കരുത്

6. പാലങ്ങളിലും, നദിക്കരയിലും മറ്റും കയറി സെല്ഫി എടുക്കല് ഒഴിവാക്കുക.

7. പുഴകളിലും തോടുകളിലും ജല നിരപ്പ് ഉയരുവാന് സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. പുഴകളിലും, ചാലുകളിലും, വെള്ളകെട്ടിലും മഴയത്ത് ഇറങ്ങാതിരിക്കണം പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കുട്ടികൾ ഇറങ്ങുന്നില്ല എന്ന് മുതിർന്നവർ ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തണം. നദിയില് കുളിക്കുന്നതും, തുണി നനയ്ക്കുന്നതും, കളിക്കുന്നതും ഒഴിവാക്കുക.

8. നദിക്കരയോട് ചേർന്ന് താമസിക്കുന്നവരും മുൻകാലങ്ങളിൽ വെള്ളം കയറിയ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഉള്ളവരും പ്രാഥമികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ഒരു എമർജൻസി കിറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കി വെക്കുന്നത് ഉചിതമായിരിക്കും .
ഈ കിറ്റില് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ട വസ്തുക്ക ൾ (ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്ക് എന്ന കണക്കിൽ):
– ടോര്ച്ച്
– റേഡിയോ
– 1 L വെള്ളം
– ORS ഒരു പാക്കറ്റ്
– അത്യാവശ്യം വേണ്ടുന്ന മരുന്ന്
– മുറിവിന് പുരട്ടാവുന്ന മരുന്ന്
– ഒരു ചെറിയ കുപ്പി ആന്റി സെപ്ടിക് ലോഷന്
– 100 ഗ്രാം കപ്പലണ്ടി
– 100 ഗ്രാം ഉണക്ക മുന്തിരി അല്ലെങ്കില് ഈന്തപ്പഴം
– ബിസ്ക്കറ്റോ റസ്ക്കോ പോലുള്ള Dry Snacks
– ചെറിയ ഒരു കത്തി
– 10 ക്ലോറിന് ടാബ്ലെറ്റ്
– ഒരു ബാറ്ററി ബാങ്ക് അല്ലെങ്കില് ടോര്ച്ചില് ഇടാവുന്ന ബാറ്ററി
– ബാറ്ററിയും, കാള് പ്ലാനും ചാര്ജ് ചെയ്ത ഒരു സാധാരണ മൊബൈൽ ഫോണ്
– തീപ്പെട്ടിയോ ലൈറ്ററോ
– അത്യാവശ്യം കുറച്ച് പണം

9. പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട രേഖകൾ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകൾ, ആഭരണങ്ങൾ പോലെ വിലപിടിപ്പുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ വെള്ളം കയറാത്തതും എളുപ്പം എടുക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്നതുമായ ഉയര്ന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കുക.

10. ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ലഭിക്കുന്ന വിവരങ്ങളെല്ലാം വീട്ടിൽ എല്ലാവരോടും പറയുക. അടിയന്തിര സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പുറത്താണെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളെ കാത്തുനിൽക്കേണ്ടതില്ല എന്ന് വീട്ടിലുള്ളവർക്ക് നിര്ദേശം നല്കുക.

11. ടിവിയിലും റേഡിയോയിലും വരുന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. ആകാശവാണിയുടെ ഈ നിലയങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക

12. ജില്ലാ എമര്ജന്സി ഓപ്പറേഷന്സ് സെന്റര് നമ്പരുകള് 1077 എന്നതാണ്. ജില്ലയ്ക്ക് പുറത്തുനിന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് STD code ചേര്ക്കുക

13. പഞ്ചായത്ത് അധികാരികളുടെ ഫോണ് നമ്പര് കയ്യില് സൂക്ഷിക്കുക.

14. വീട്ടിൽ അസുഖമുള്ളവരോ, അംഗപരിമിതരോ, ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരോ, പ്രായമായവരോ കുട്ടികളോ ഒക്കെയുള്ളവർ അവരെ പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടായാല് അവരെ ആദ്യം മാറ്റാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുക. പ്രത്യേക സഹായം ആവശ്യമാണെങ്കില്, ഇവരെ സംബന്ധിച്ച വിവരം സാമൂഹിക നീതി വകുപ്പിലെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ അറിയിക്കുക.

15. വൈദ്യുതോപകരണങ്ങള് വെള്ളം വീട്ടിൽ കയറിയാലും നശിക്കാത്ത തരത്തിൽ ഉയരത്തില് വെക്കുക.

16. വളർത്തു മൃഗങ്ങളെ സുരക്ഷിത സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയോ അതിനു പറ്റാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിൽ കെട്ടഴിച്ചു വിടുകയോ ചെയ്യുക.

Because of the Cyclonic Storm ‘GAJA’ over West central and adjoining East central & South Bay of Bengal, IMD has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated places of Kerala, 16th November onwards IMD has issued:

• Orange Alert for Eranakulam, Kottayam and Idukki Districts and Yellow alert for Malappuram, Thrissur, Palakkad, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Kollam Districts on 16th Nov
So, 
• District Emergency Operations Centers kindly ensure that the concerned HODs have been informed about the current IMD’s Rainfall Alert 
• Print-Audio-Visual Media kindly circulate the current IMD’s Rainfall Alert to the public and keep updated about the timely variations in the Rainfall Alert Status and recirculate the updates.

Public Alert
1. Do not travel to hilly areas between 7 pm and 7 am

2. Do not stop by small rapids and water channels in hilly areas for site seeing.

3. Avoid tourism to hilly areas and beaches.

4. Do not spread rumour. Follow this page and the page of Chief Minister’s Office for authentic information

5. Do not cross the river

6. Avoid selfies by standing on bridges and along the river banks

7. Avoid bathing, swimming, washing and playing in the river. Give special care to children and prevent them from playing in storm water, rivers and sea.

8. Prepare an emergency kit with the following items ( items per person)
– Torch
– Radio
– 1 L water
– One packet of ORS
– Necessary medicine
– Antiseptic Ointment
– One small bottle dettol, savlon etc
– 100 gms of Groundnuts
– 100 gms of dried grapes or dates
– Dry snacks like Biscuits , Rusk
– A knife
– 10 chlorine tablets for purifying water
– One battery bank or necessary batteries to power the torch
– Fully charged simple feature mobile phone with call balance
-Match box or Lighter
– Necessary money

9. Ensure that all certificates and valuable jewellery are packed in water proof containers or bags and stored at a height

10. Communicate all information that you receive from official sources to everyone in the house. If you are not in the house, the family should be advised to listen to official directives and move to safe locations without waiting for you.

11. Listen to the following radio stations of All India Radio and Dooradashan

12. Emergency Numbers of DEOCs is 1077; if calling from outside the district, please add the STD Code

13. Keep the mobile numbers of your local panchayath or Local Self Government People’s Representative

14. Give special care to old aged, bed ridden, people with illness, people with disabilities and children. If there are those with illness, bed ridden or people with disabilities in your house who needs special attention to evacuate, please inform the nearest officer of Social Justice Department.

15. Keep all electric and electronic gadgets at a height to avoid inundation

16. Animals can swim. So please let them loose.
