മുംബൈയില്‍ മേല്‍പ്പാലം തകര്‍ന്ന് നാല്‌ മരണം; 34 പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്ക്

മുംബൈയില്‍ റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനു സമീപം കാല്‍നട യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കുള്ള മേല്‍പ്പാലം തകര്‍ന്നു വീണ് നാല്‌ മരണം. 34 പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്. മുംബൈ സിഎസ്ടി റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനു സമീപത്തെ മേല്‍പ്പാലത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗമാണ് തകര്‍ന്നു വീണത്. ഇന്ന് വൈകീട്ടോടെയായിരുന്നു അപകടം. പരിക്കേറ്റവരെ സമീപത്തെ വിവിധ ആശുപത്രികളിലായി പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് മുംബൈ പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. റെയില്‍വേ സ്‌റ്റേഷനെ പുറത്തെ റോഡുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന മേല്‍പ്പാലമാണ് തകര്‍ന്നത്.

യാത്രക്കാര്‍ പാലത്തിനടിയില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നതായാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ദേശീയ ദുരന്തനിവാരണ സേനയുടെയടക്കം നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ രക്ഷാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം തുടരുകയാണ്. അപകടത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലെ ഗതാഗതം പോലീസ് നിയന്തിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. അപകടത്തിന് കാരണമെന്തെന്ന് വ്യക്തമായിട്ടില്ല. ഉന്നത പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരടക്കം സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
