Wayanad, recently struck by devastating landslides, has left many people displaced and in need of urgent support. As part of ongoing efforts to help the people of Wayanad rebuild their lives, senior citizens from the New Hope Adult Day Care Center in Philadelphia have come together in a heartwarming gesture. Despite their modest incomes, they have decided to contribute to the cause, donating a significant amount to the relief efforts.

In a recent event, the funds collected were handed over to Madhu Kottarakkara, the Head of Operations for Twenty Four in the U.S., with the request that the aid be directed to those who are most in need in Wayanad. Speaking at the donation ceremony, the seniors expressed their faith in the ongoing work by Twenty Four Channel and Twenty Four Connect, hoping their contributions would make a meaningful impact.

During a grand event held in connection with the Onam celebrations hosted by Twenty Four, Madhu Kottarakkara handed over the funds to the channel’s Chief Editor, R. Sreekandan Nair. Expressing his gratitude, Nair assured the contributors that the amount would reach the deserving hands in Wayanad. Editor-in-Charge P.P. James further highlighted that this was a crucial time for everyone to come together for Wayanad. A total of ₹2 lakhs was collected by the members of the Care Center.
